Designed by Derek Gardner, the Tyrell P34 competed in Formula 1 in 1976 and 1977 appearing on the podium numerous occasions as well as claiming it’s first and only victory at the 1976 Swedish Grand Prix in the hands of Jody Scheckter – who was famously know as Enzo Ferrari’s last Ferrari Champion in 1979.

The Tyrrell P34 contained four specifically designed 10-inch wheels at the front with two ordinary sized wheels at the rear.

The Six-Wheeled design was quickly banned for the 1978 season, ensuring all Formula 1 cars would only have four wheels.

In 2025, Tony Quinn and Australian Racing icon, Craig Lowndes will share driving duties throughout the two-day event with the car being flown into Adelaide few days prior to the event. There are only and handful of P34s that exist.
