The Australian Human Powered Vehicle Super Series (AHPVSS)—a premier event celebrating innovation, sustainability, and endurance—is set for a major transformation in February 2025. After years of support from the University of South Australia, the major sponsorship branding will transition to Adelaide University, ushering in a new era of growth and opportunity for the series.

For decades, the AHPVSS has been a showcase of human ingenuity, where school, university, and community teams design, build, and race human-powered vehicles. These events push the boundaries of sustainable transport, foster technical excellence, and unite passionate participants from across Australia.

The University of South Australia has played a pivotal role in the series’ expansion, driving innovation, improving race conditions, and enhancing safety measures. Their commitment has left a lasting legacy, providing young engineers and designers with a platform to test their skills and creativity.

Now, as Adelaide University takes the reins, the series is set for its next chapter and will be renamed as AUAHPVSS effective immediately.

With the 2025 season kicking off late next month in Mt Gambier, teams and riders have been very busy behind the scenes preparing for another great year for the sport.

Current 2024 championship leaders, Wattle Racing have revealed a new livery for Gunyah ahead of the upcoming Australian International Pedal Prix 24hr at Murray Bridge.

In 2024 they have raced a plain white trike with Gunyah on the side and have ridden it to success claiming three wins out of the four races they’ve competed in 2024. Now as teams prepare for the largest HPV endurance race in the World, Wattle have revealed a brand new colour scheme which is set to catch a lot of attention as they aim for the top prize.

Instead of the plain white, Wattle have opted to go for a green, gold and carbon livery which not only will stand out on track but is also a callback to Gunyah’s past. In the last few years, Gunyah has raced with a similar gold and green colour scheme however instead of the carbon, they had white.

After almost dominating the 2024 season, can they win the big one at Murray Bridge or will Trump Trikes be the ones to beat again?
